Sega Mega Drive Classics

Sega has announced that it will be launching an emulator for its old Mega Drive games on 28 April called Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub.

The Hub will be available as a free update on Steam, and will look like the bedroom of an early 90s Sega fan with dynamic time-of-day conditions, and retro Sega paraphernalia.

Every Mega Drive game available for purchase on Steam will also now feature Steam Workshop support, which lets you share modified versions of the games.

In addition to these new features, Sega promised the following features for the hub:

  • Accurate emulation
  • Local co-op for games that support it
  • Optional graphic enhancement filters
  • The ability to save at any point in the gameplay
  • Full controller and keyboard support
