Blizzard names ‘next-gen MMO’

20 December 2010

Blizzard’s five year plan recently leaked its way onto the Internet, providing some juicy insight into the gaming company’s plans.

Among the titbits of info was a tantalising mystery project referred to as ‘Titan’ which is scheduled for release around Q4 2013.

Speaking to Destructoid, Frank Pearce, Senior VP at Blizzard and executive producer on the World of WarCraft project let slip the revelation that Titan is Blizzard’s next MMO project.

“The media is not supposed to know anything about that. It’s our next-gen MMO project. We’ve only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we’re working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting – getting some of the best talent in the industry on that project.”

Fire up the rumour mill. Personally, I think they are bringing back the Lost Vikings for a much deserved MMO outing.
