Thousands of gamers have taken to social media to show their dislike for the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
The Infinite Warfare trailer is currently the most disliked game trailer on YouTube ever, with the announcement trailer boasting just 187,000 likes compared to more than 1,000,000 dislikes.
In comparison, the Battlefield 1 announcement trailer has 1,107,000 likes compared to just 20,000 negative votes.
Head of publishing for Activision, Eric Hirshberg, is unconcerned about the negativity.
“We’ve seen this in the franchise before – the reveal trailer for Black Ops II, which took the franchise into the future for the first time had the most dislikes of any reveal trailer we had ever made at that time, and that of course went on to become our most successful game ever,” he remarked.
“And right now, the franchise has never been stronger. We have more people playing Black Ops III – a game that takes place in the future with boost jumps and fictitious weapons and all the rest – than any game in our history.
So what we know for sure is that if we always did what worked in the past and never took any creative risks, we wouldn’t have a franchise. The day to worry is the day we stop trying new things.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will release on 4 November 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I played COD:BO2 and would say it’s also so-so game. Graphics is cool, but I feel like mongoloid who directed by nurse “go there, do that, take your cookie”. Plus uncontrollable video action, where I just watch “what I supposed to do”. WTF? Where is my freedom of action? Why I should shoot him instead of ’em? Crazy… Environment is also just dumb textures in a corridor – I cannot fire a house, jump on tree or even throw a stone! Why the hell I need that “realistic graphics” if it’s still UNREAL? So yes, Actvision, your games are cr@p and you didn’t move even one step forward in game development!
