2K and Firaxis Games have unveiled the next instalment in Sid Meier’s Civilization series – Civilization VI.
“Sid Meier’s Civilization VI builds on the firm foundation of the Civilization franchise, and we’ve added many exciting new elements. The visual presentation of the game is inspired by the maps and tools of the Age of Exploration, and we’ve made several key gameplay changes such as expansive cities and active research,” said Firaxis.
Some of the key components of Civilization VI include:
- Expansive Empires – Each city will span multiple tiles in order to take advantage of the terrain.
- Active research – Complete goals and explore in order to speed up research.
- Dynamic diplomacy – The diplomacy scene is dependent on the circumstances of both empires.
- Combined arms – Units can be combined and form powerful corps.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will release on 21 October 2016 and will be priced at $59.99 internationally.
