Dead Space R70 on Steam this weekend

21 January 2011

If you haven’t played Dead Space then you are missing out on what is easily one of the most terrifying gameplay experiences ever. This weekend PC gamers can buy the game on Steam for $10.20 (R70), which is a total steal for this critically acclaimed title.

Furthermore, if you pre-order the sequel, which is due out next month, you can buy Dead Space for just $7.99 (R56).

In Dead Space you play as Isaac Clarke as he explores a ruined deep space mining ship, the Ishimura, where he will attempt to survive a virus-like alien infestation which turns humans it grotesquely mutated monsters called “Necromorphs.”

“Only the Dead Survive. A massive deep-space mining ship goes dark after unearthing a strange artifact on a distant planet. Engineer Isaac Clarke embarks on the repair mission, only to uncover a nightmarish blood bath — the ship’s crew horribly slaughtered and infected by alien scourge. Now Isaac is cut off, trapped, and engaged in a desperate fight for survival.”
