One of the saddest parts of gaming is finally saying goodbye to one of your favourite games.
This is what thousands of gamers did on 1 July, when the Planetside servers were shutdown for good.
Friends and foes alike stood side by side for the event, with the 13-year long war (the game launched in May 2003) drawing to a close as a massive meteor shower finally claimed the game world.
