Nvidia GeForce Experience now requires you to be always online

NVIDIA have released a major update to its GeForce Experience app, making it compulsory for users to login and remain online.

The new GeForce Experience 3.0 is being shipped as a public beta, and is currently not part of an NVIDIA driver installer, reports TechPowerUp.

“Its UI now has two key sections, one which deals with game setting optimization, and the other which lets users access NVIDIA GeForce features such as Ansel, GameStream, driver updates, etc.”

“Perhaps the biggest change here is that having an online account with NVIDIA is no longer optional, if you want to use GeForce Experience.”

This allows you to save your preferences and game settings in the cloud, meaning you don’t have to worry about configuring your set up every time you change hardware.

Although you can currently choose whether or not to opt in to the public beta for GeForce Experience 3.0, the build could be released as a platform update in the future – requiring all Nvidia users to remain online to use GeForce Experience.
