Rumours pointing to Overwatch’s next hero being a Support Sniper have increased dramatically over the last 24 hours.
This follows an image tweeted by the official Overwatch account, detailing the new hero’s prototype “biotic weapon”.
The leading theory is that the next Overwatch hero will be called Sombra, thanks to a number of hints found in the game’s Dorado map, reports Eurogamer.
This assumption is helped somewhat by a comment made by game director Jeff Kaplan in a recent interview with Eurogamer: “I would say it’s about time that people are concerned with who Sombra is.”
There is currently no word as to when the next hero will be announced, but given the sudden increase in rumours it is likely to be very soon.
