Another week of July goes by and another chance emerges to play some exciting new games (and attempt to catch up on some previously released ones too).
This week, sees a mix of indie and smaller releases (along with some bigger re-releases and DLC), and all of which look like they have something different to offer gamers.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Descent DLC
12 July 2016 (PS4), August (Xbox One, PC)
Descent, the third Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack, is releasing this week. Players face-off against a swarm of mechanised zombie infantry and dodge hell-fire from aerial dragon assaults, all in the middle of a raging battle within the remnants of Stalingrad.
Gorod Krovi delivers the most exciting Zombies experience yet, filled with horrifying new enemies, exciting new gameplay mechanics and an epic set of Zombie annihilating weapons.
Ghostbusters
12 July 2016 (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
With a new Ghostbusters movie hitting cinemas this month, it’s no surprise that a game would soon follow. However, the upcoming release from Activision isn’t based directly on the movie, and is instead set after the events of the new film, putting you in charge of some fresh Ghostbuster rookies as they try to capture spectres around New York City.
Each character will have their own personality, strengths and play style, encouraging team-based strategies in up to four-player couch co-op. Just remember, don’t cross the streams.
