Earlier today, Treyarch’s PCdev twitter feed announced that patch 1.06 has finally gone live for the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops. All dedicated servers rebooted at about 6 AM, and the patch itself was released shortly thereafter. The next time you load Steam, your Black Ops client will be automatically updated with the 9.9 Mb patch.

• Additional Stability improvements
The key improvement many gamers will be looking at is “additional stability improvements”, as Black Ops was riddled with bugs and glitches at launch. The game has been dramatically improved from its broken launch state, but complaints of stability issues are still common.
