Steam has launched a pretty good deal for this week’s Midweek Madness promotion. The entire collection of Warhammer 40,000 games developed by Relic and Published by THQ are available in one package; seven titles in total, including the Steam exclusive DLC for the yet to be released Dawn of War II standalone expansion, Retribution. The Steam version of Retribution contains the exclusive Ork Wargear race pack.
This opens up some interesting purchase options for gamers interested in climbing on the Dawn of War collection wagon and then purchasing Retribution. Pre-purchasing Retribution secures a choice of one of the six available war gear packs. With the Ork Wargear already secured as part of the Dawn of War collection, gamers can decide on one of the five other Wargear packs for their pre-order. The Dawn of War: Retribution beta is available to any owners of a Dawn of War title on Steam.
The Dawn of War Collection has been discounted 50%, now costing US$59.99 (±R435). Offer ends February 10th at 4pm Pacific Time.
Despite a confusing pricing structure on the special page, which lists Winter Assault at US$59.99, it doesn’t seem to include this price in the special. This makes sense, as the Dawn of War Gold Edition already contains the Winter Assault expansion.
