Don’t forget that the GTX 970 only has 3.5gb of properly-usable VRAM. The other 500mb doesn’t count.
Having said that, I had a 970 for about 10 months and I had absolutely zero VRAM problems running these games in Ultra (1080p). Can’t offer any experience for 1440p though.
