Mobile gaming is more important than PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

A recent study reveals that mobile there are more games in development for mobile platforms than the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

A 2016 game development survey conducted by GDC found that game developers are focussing more on creating smartphone and tablet games than console titles.

The PlayStation 4 is also ranked as more important than the Xbox One, with a difference of 5%.

It is important to note that despite mobile gaming being ranked as more important than PlayStation 4 by a margin of 16%, PC remains the most important gaming platform, beating mobile gaming by 8%.

The Nintendo Wii U and previous-gen consoles are largely ignored by game developers, who focus most of their efforts on PC and mobile gaming.
