All PlayStation Network services went offline worldwide today

26 October 2016

Earlier today, gamers from around the world began reporting that the PSN network was down.

Gamers on various social media channels expressed their frustration at the inability to play online.

Although there was no scheduled maintenance for today, Sony did perform small maintenance tasks slightly earlier, reports VG247.

PlayStation Network services remained offline for a number of hours, during which Sony stated that it would investigate and attempt to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

The service seems to be working again, according to the official status page.
