Sony reveals PlayStation 4 Slim South African release date and pricing

Sony announced that the new PlayStation 4 Slim 500GB will be available in South Africa on 4 November 2016.

The 500GB console has a suggested retail price of R5,199, with the 1TB Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare bundle priced at R5,999.

The new internal architecture of the PlayStation 4 Slim accounts for a 30% decrease in volume and the console’s slimmer form factor.

All PlayStation 4 models, including the PlayStation 4 Slim, will feature support for High Dynamic Range imaging technology, which increases brightness and contrast range to provide better visual quality.

Users who own an HDR-compatible TV will be able to enjoy supported games and other entertainment content with visuals that are more realistic, strikingly vivid and truer to the way the human eye sees the real world.
