The PlayStation 4 Pro will release in South Africa on 7 December.

The console will ship at a suggested retail price of R6,999, making it nearly R2,000 more expensive than the the recently released PlayStation Slim at R5,199.

The PS4 Pro leverages the latest imaging technology by supporting dynamic 4K quality resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

For gamers who own an HDTV that does not support either 4K or HDR, PS4 Pro provides a number of benefits, such as higher or more stable framerates, and enhanced graphics and environments.

The exact changes will differ from game to game, but nearly all titles will feature noticeable improvements.
