PlayStation is removing movies for customers libraries

Sony has announced that they are taking down all Studio Content, including movies purchased by customers and in the video libraries.

The company also stated in the legal notice they released that this choice was made due to “evolving licensing agreements with content providers”.

The legal notices were posted on the German and Austrian sites for PlayStation.

Sony had previously announced that they were terminating the service and consumers would no longer be able to purchase movies on the PlayStation Store, but they would still be able to access their already-purchased content.

However, this is no longer the case, and Sony has made no announcements as to whether or not impacted customers will receive refunds or some form of compensation for the loss of content they purchased.

The movies removed from customers’ libraries include titles such as John Wick, La La Land, Paddington, the Saw franchise, Source Code, the Hunger Games movies, and many others.

This move from Sony will no doubt be unpopular among its customers.

You can find a complete list of the content that will be removed below.
