The official PlayStation Blog for Europe has announced that the PSN service will be down for maintenance this Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning. This will of course affect many South African PSN users as they utilise the EU region servers.
“PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:05 on Thursday until 02:00 on Friday, BST. Sorry for any inconvenience,” tweeted PlayStation EU.
That translates to: Thursday, 11 August 2011, 17.05 SAST (South African Standard Time) until Friday, 12 August 2011, 03.00 SAST.
PlayStation EU states that those who wish to remain connected to the service for online play during the period should ensure they have logged in to PSN before the scheduled maintenance period, and remain so for the duration.
