Sony has announced that PlayStation 3 trophies are being added to Playstation.com today. The service will effectively enable users to browse their trophies online.
Many onlookers have commented that the implementation of online trophy tracking by Sony is at this point more of an embarrassment than anything else. After all, online trophy tracking is a feature that Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying for years. Its redeeming feature at this point is that at least PSN is free to use.
Sony also stated that the ability to compare and sort trophies will come later this year, so we aren’t too sure exactly what the system is going to look like from the outset, but it seems safe to say that it will be something quite basic.
