At the recent Tokyo Game Show conference, Sony showed off its upcoming motion controller being used in Little Big Planet as well as Resident Evil 5.
Sony announced that motion control implementation for Little Big Planet would come in the form of a download via PSN, however, Capcom did not give any clue as to how gamers would get hold of the motion controlled version of Resident Evil 5.
The game’s producer Jun Takeuchi has since explained that the new motion control content will be “too big to be DLC”, and Capcom will therefore release Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition next year which will feature full motion control support.
The Alternative Edition will include a new 2 hour scenario.
Takeuchi also said that the Xbox 360 would be getting something as well, and that the new content would be prepared “in a different form” – Project Natal, anyone?
As for now, we know that Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition will be released in March 2010 along with Sony’s Motion Control device.
