A recent posting on game designer Michelle Franklin’s LinkedIn profile has revealed that she is currently working on 5 games at her studio, which is listed as a confidential employer.
Four of these titles are intended to be PS3 exclusives, although two have not been named.
Franklin simply refers to the first two as “a Ninja RPG for Japan and one Zombie Survival Horror Action Adventure”.
The named titles are ‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’ which is listed as an RPG and ‘Key of Solomon’ which is listed as a PS3 action/adventure title.
‘Key of Solomon’ is reportedly based on Goetia and Legementon, which is a 17th century grimoire book based on demonology which feature the descriptions of seventy two demons that King Solomon was said to have evoked reports PS3Center.
‘Sir Gawain and the Green Knight’ is based on a 14th century novel in which Sir Gawain “accepts a challenge from a mysterious warrior who is completely green, from his clothes and hair to his beard and skin. The “Green Knight” offers to allow anyone to strike him with his axe if the challenger will take a return blow in a year and a day.”
Gawain accepts and beheads the Knight in one movement, only to see him pick up his head and remind Gawain to meet him at the predetermined time. The story revolves around Gawain’s struggle to make the appointment and his adventures on the way.
Both are unique concepts for console games, which should yield interesting results when they are eventually released.
