When we originally contacted Makro Centurion to find out more about the special, we were told that that R3999 price applied to all the bundles. It turns out however that we were misinformed and only the Need for Speed: Shift bundle is selling for this price.

One would not know it from looking at their website, but local mega-retailer Makro is running a very attractive special on the 250GB PS3 Slim console which ends today.
Advertised in the Sunday Times yesterday, the special has the console retailing for R3999, which is R500 below its regular retail price.
Buyers have a choice between three bundles: Uncharted 2, Fifa 10 and Need for Speed: Shift.
The bundles were available at this price yesterday, and will continue to be available until the close of business today. Thereafter, the pricing will return to normal.
The Centurion branch was well stocked when MyGaming called earlier today, with healthy availability on all three bundles.
The PS3 Slim is 33% smaller and lighter than the regular 80GB PS3. While running cooler than the outgoing model, it offers identical performance, and near identical functionality with the only real difference being the inability to install your own operating system.
The 250GB Slim is easily one of the most desirable gaming devices available, and along with Uncharted 2 – 2009’s highest rated game – it is a steal at R3999. The PS3 120GB Slim is available at most retailers for R3799, although some, such as Kalahari.net, sell it for R3699.
For two days only, Makro has eclipsed Woolworths who normally offers the most competitive pricing on the PS3 250GB Slim at R3299, with the addition of a R200 gift card when bought with a Woolworths credit card.
