Uncharted 2 co op DLC packages on the horizon

Given the popularity of PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2’s online cooperative mode it seems likely that developers Naughty Dog would look in to offering gamers additional content via DLC packages.

This sentiment has been echoed by Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells, who recently told G4 that “for future DLC, could we add more co-op? Probably more in the arena-style type of gameplay, like our Survival and our Gold Rush modes.”

“The objective-style co-op that we have where we have those little narrative moments…it’s something that we are considering and we’d really like to do, but it’s a much, much bigger investment of time because we have to do a lot of motion capture with the actors and record a lot of voices. So we would absolutely want make sure that we talk to our community and make sure there was the proper demand for it.”

It seems likely therefor that Uncharted 2 fans will be seeing additional content drop in 2010.

So far the reception for Uncharted 2 since its release in October has been more than positive. It has been hailed by many as one of the best games ever to be released on the PS3 platform and currently holds a Metacritic aggregate review score of 96 percent.
