Sony has issued a corporate email to US retailers stating that the highly anticipated God of War III will be released on March 16 2010.

The sequel to Sony’s award winning PlayStation exclusive franchise is one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Previously slated for March, US gamers now know exactly when the game will be on shelves. The European release date has yet to be confirmed, but is likely to follow the US release date by no more than 5 days, meaning that SA gamers should have God of War III in the last week of March.
