PS3 gets new invite system

12 February 2010

One of the most requested features for the PlayStation Network over the past few years has been an invite system. Sony has finally responded, and incorparted exactly that into the network, and PSN gamers can now invite fellow gamers in a chat room to join a game.

The problem is at this stage only Bioshock 2, the Aliens vs. Predator demo and Call of Duty Classic support the new feature.

On the plus side, this probably means that we can expect most, if not all, new PS3 multiplyaer games to feature invite support. It remains to be seen however whether developers like Infinity Ward and Geurilla games release updates for the likes of Modern Warfare 2 and Killzone 2 incorporating invites.
