PS Plus – your free games for August 2014

30 July 2014
Crysis-3

Hello my PlayStation brothers and sisters, I bring a message from our masters at Sony – the PS Plus games for August have been announced.

New on PS4 this coming month is the beautifully crafted Road Not Taken from the team at Spry Fox. You play as a ranger adventuring through a vast, unforgiving forest in the aftermath of a brutal winter storm, rescuing children who have lost their way.

Also for PS4 is FEZ, the critically acclaimed 2D platform puzzler. Before James left he told me to play this game, so I will definitely be downloading it.

PS3 owners will be getting the future-tech FPS Crysis 3. No intro needed here, we all know how cool the game is.

Next up is Proteus, which is a cross buy title for the PS3 and the PS Vita.

Coming to PS Vita in August is the PS Vita exclusive Metrico – an atmospheric puzzle adventure title.

And to round things off we have Lego Hatter Potter (5 -7 years) so your brother, sister, niece, nephew, child can get in on the action, too.

In summary – leaving PS Plus on 6 August 2014:

  • TowerFall Ascension
  • Strider
  • Dead Space 3
  • Vessel
  • LEGO Batman 2 DC Superheroes
  • Doki Doki Universe

Entering PS Plus on 6 August 2014:

  • Road Not Taken
  • FEZ
  • Crysis 3
  • Proteus
  • Metrico
  • LEGO Harry Potter 5-7 Years

PS4 is not getting love at the moment – I know it is not even a year old – but come on! I have not enjoyed the free games except for Resogun. Everything else has been meh! (Take no offense if you enjoyed any of the other games but this is based on my gaming tastes).
