PlayStation Network down

2 October 2014

After reports on social media and various international gaming sites, Sony Japan has confirmed that the PlayStation Network is down.

No reason was given for the down time, and – according to Google translate – the issue is being investigated.

According to the US PlayStation support site, though, the network is working fine in that part of the world.

After being unable to play Destiny for more than 5 minutes at a time last night, the last thing us PlayStation gamers need is more networks going down.
