PlayStation Move Navigation controller delayed locally

14 September 2010

Our eagle eyed colleagues at El33tonline have spotted a post on the PS3za forums suggesting that the Navigation controller which is intended to be used in conjunction with the PlayStation Move Wand has been delayed until mid October.

We contacted a SterKinekor Interactive representative who confirmed that the navigation controller will be released in mid-October, due to global stock shortages.

The PlayStation Move Wand is still on track for its local release this week Friday, September 17, as is the PlayStation Move Starter Pack, which sadly, does not include the Navigation Controller.

We have had limited play time with the PlayStation Move, so it is difficult to say at this time just how important it is for the overall PlayStation Move gameplay experience. It is however being pitched as a “must for core gamers”, as it essentially adds the functionality of the entire left side of the DualShock 3 wireless controller.

Limited the Move Wand, players will only be able to navigate the game world with the motion controller.
