Vote to Play allows you to choose your free PS Plus games

PS Plus

For many months, gamers have lamented that there is no real choice for the games available on PlayStation Plus (PS Plus), especially in regards to PS4 offerings.

As an example, the PS4 games on offer for PS Plus over the last few months have been:

Limbo (August)
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris (August)
Entwined (July)
MouseCraft (July)
Rocket League (July)
Styx: Master of the Shadows (July)
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (June)
Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-a-Fide Edition (June)
Super Exploding Zoo (June)
Futuridium EP Deluxe (June)

But things are now changing. PS Plus members will now be able to take advantage of an upcoming new feature which will put the choice for PS Plus games in gamers’ hands.

With this new feature, PS Plus members will be asked to vote on one of several unreleased PS4 games to be included in the next month’s line-up.

The game that accumulates the most votes is subsequently included in a future PS Plus line-up, in the coming month.

However, if the game a PS Plus member picked doesn’t make the cut, you’ll be able to purchase runner-up games for a discounted price as part of a promotion.

Sadly though, Vote to Play won’t be a monthly feature for PS Plus. According to Sony, it will take place at “regular intervals” during the course of the year.

Sony promised that more details will be revealed as soon as possible, notifying us when voting commences, what titles will be up for voting and how to actually vote.

So if you are PS Plus member, you have an awesome feature to look forward to, which should make the games line-up, particularly for the PS4, all the more exciting.

There is definitely a great deal of potential here, and we are certainly hoping for the best with Vote to Play.
