We’ve said this before, and we’ll say it again: the reimagined Ratchet & Clank for PS4 is gorgeous to behold. It’s also a retelling of the original game from the days of the PS2.

Perhaps its most distinguishing upgrade in the visuals department is just how rich and vibrant it is, but that’s no surprise given the practice Insomniac Games has had with Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One.

Anyway, the reason we’re here is to report that this latest Ratchet & Clank finally has a release date, and it’s April 20^th for us here in sunny South Africa.

The reimagined PS4 title is scheduled to coincide with the release of the film, also a retelling of the original game, which is why it’s humorously referred to as the game, based on the movie, based on the game.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a local release date for the Ratchet & Clank film, but it shouldn’t be too far off its European debut.
