LittleBigPlanet 2 final beta this month, invites incoming

3 December 2010

LittleBigPlanet 2 is launching 18 January 2011, but in the meantime, developer Media Molecule is busy-busy with a checklist of stuff to get done.

That includes final box art and Collector’s Edition packaging (done), an ESRB rating (done), in-store displays (done), Sackboy costume (done), holiday wrapping paper (done, totally adorable), and – obviously – the demo prepping for its 22 December deployment (under construction).

The online beta also goes into its final stage of testing this month – now including the new voice recording support! – and a new batch of invites will apparently go out next week. Keep those little hessian fingers crossed.

The game will feature PlayStation Move support, and all downloadable content as well as “most” user-made from the first game can be imported into the sequel.
