Sony hints at PlayStation Move support on PC

1 February 2011

Sony engineer John McCutchan has hinted that Sony will reveal an interesting update at next week’s Game Developers conference. The update will supposedly “bring developers up to speed on developing for the PlayStation Move controller.”

“We will cover developing for the new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter accessory. We will discuss the new Move Server project that will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller on their own PCs,” reads the event description on the GDC site.

Sony has yet to reveal any further details, so little is known about just how Move will interface with PCs. Naturally, more is expected to be revealed next week Wednesday when the session takes place.
