Android games at massive discounts

7 March 2012

To inaugurate the newly released Google Play store, Google has various games and applications on special for just $0.49 (±R3.71).

Some of the standout games on special include:

Dead Space: The acclaimed PC horror shooter comes to Android, and with a 4.3 star average rating its apparently pretty good. The $0.49 price tag (R3.71) makes it even more appealing.

World of Goo: This highly addictive game, pegged as game of the year by MetaCritics, IGN, TouchArcade, and Rock Paper Shotgun, is also available on Android. The 4.8 star rating after 3,603 votes means you probably won’t be disappointed.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: This racer may only have a 3.5 star rating, but for less than a handful of chappies it’s worth a shot. I mean, Pagani Zonda on your phone? Yebo yes!

Flick Golf Extreme: Yay, golf, how riveting. Stereotypes aside, Flick golf actually looks like a good way to pass the time. I still think it should have the tagline, “The most fun you can have flicking your balls.”

Shadowgun: If flicking your balls doesn’t sound like an afternoon well spent, consider Shadowgun. Play as a bounty hunter, do battle with genetically-enhanced humanoids, and pursue one of the many multiple outcomes.
