Deus Ex: The Fall reveal dashes our hopes

Deus Ex The Fall

Eidos Montreal has confirmed and revealed Deus Ex: The Fall – it’s a tablet and mobile game, which isn’t exactly what everyone was expecting (well, at least not what we were hoping for at the MyGaming office). Still, the game may yet prove to be quite captivating on its mobile home.

Deus Ex: The Fall is a sequel to the Deus Ex: Icarus Effect novel, and follows Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent physical augmentation, who is desperate for the truth behind the drug conspiracy.

The game resembles similar first-to-third person gameplay to that of Human Revolution, full of takedowns and stealth.

While it does look impressive on the mobile devices, it’s a slight disappointment that its not a fully-fledged console and PC sequel to Human Revolution – something fans have been asking for.

Hopefully The Fall is leading up to a bigger Deus Ex announcement; perhaps something at E3?

Deus Ex: The Fall is “coming soon” to iPad and iPhone.
