PSN welcome back games – download sizes

30 May 2011

So everyone is holding thumbs for the return of the PlayStation Store tomorrow (31 May 2011), since Tuesday is the day it is usually updated. Of course Sony is keeping its mouth shut on the matter, and in all likelihood they will turn it on without any warning.

To “welcome back” PSN users, Sony is giving every PSN account holder who signed up before 19 April the choice of two of the following five PSN games.

–    Little Big Planet
–    inFamous
–    Wipeout HD + Fury
–    Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
–    Dead Nation

The offer is available to all European and North American PSN accounts. South Africans access the European PlayStation Store, so the deal applies to us too.

Gamersmint has helpfully rounded up the download sizes for each of these games. Considering the internet doesn’t come cheap here in deepest Africa, the respective download sizes may be something to consider for local PS3 owners.
