Sony has announced that a playable single player demo for the upcoming PS3 exclusive shooter, Killzone 3, will be released via PSN on February 16.
Gamers will also get a chance to try out the game’s multiplayer component before release with the beta which kicks off on February 3.
The single player demo will give players a taste of a level called Icy Incursion which takes place roughly half way through the game. PlayStation Plus members will be able to download the demo early on February 9.
“There will be two separate downloads available from the PlayStation Store: one in 2D and one in 3D. Both versions will take place on the “Icy Incursion” level. Don’t worry – downloading the 3D version and playing it on your 2D TV won’t break anything… you’ll just see a message saying ‘No 3D TV detected.’ The 2D version has splitscreen co-op as well, a feature not available in the 3D demo,” reads the announcement.
The demo will also be PlayStation Move enabled.
Killzone 3 is due out exclusively on PS3 on February 26.
