Update: Kalahari has extended the sale until 2 November 2014.

Kalahari has announced in an early-morning press release that it will be selling the standard PlayStation 4 bundle for R5,599. Stocks are limited.

The recommended retail price of the PlayStation 4 is normally R6,799, while most retailers are selling the console for R6,299 – sometimes bundled with a game.

The PlayStation 4 was launched late in 2013 in South Africa, and has sold just over 40,000 units according to distributors Ster-Kinekor.

The company is hoping to sell another 70,000 – 100,000 PS4 consoles in the country in the coming year.

Ordered mine on Friday, only got my PS4 yesterday but that is only after fighting with them as their system said shipped on Monday already I received it and I was unhappy as the box was all banged up and torn, phoned them and they just shrugged it off, that is the reason why I never use kalamari in the first place. No matter what special comes up again SCREW THEM.
Luckily the PS4 works and HDD does not seem to have taken damage from their mishandling of the merchandise.
