FIFA 14 gameplay trailer, screenshots slides in

6 June 2013

EA Sports has released a new gameplay trailer and a set of screenshots for the upcoming annual football-sim, FIFA 14.

As with every FIFA trailer, it’s hard to really notice the difference from the previous iteration, but it is looking extra shiny this year.

FIFA 14’s new features and overhauled mechanics were previously announced by EA Sports.

The new Pure Shot gameplay feature will incorporate three elements into every shot: timing, anticipation and positioning. Players can now adjust their approach angle, along with their stride and pace before taking a shot.

In addition to the Pure Shot feature, FIFA 14 will also introduce a new physics system called Real Ball Physics, which is said to produce much more realistic ball reactions and trajectories that would be found in a real life scenario.

The way in which you approach and strike the ball will determine the flight path and trajectories of the shot – this opens more shooting options and angles to score from. Players will now be able to strike the ball with force from distance, drill low rising shots with accuracy, and blast dipping, or swerving shots.
