The Elder Scrolls Online – The Arrival Cinematic Trailer
With the recent announcement of the The Elder Scrolls Online Imperial Edition, the latest cinematic trailer from Bethesda Softworks for the MMORPG helps cement the game as hot property for 2014.
Visually, the game is as breathtaking as would be expected from fans, while opening the trailer with an elf taking a knee to the face will put to rest any fears this instalment will not deliver in the ass kicking department.
Thief on PS4 – How to be sneaky
Due out in SA on 28 February, this Thief gameplay trailer shows future clandestine warriors with sticky fingers how to sneak up, down, and all around without being spotted by axe and torch wielding guards.
If you dream about stealing pearl earrings off of old ladies undetected, or taking out guards with a high powered bow, Thief offers both options to the discerning gamer.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Launch Trailer
Lara is back in yet another edition of her Tomb Raiding adventures. Looking a lot less proactive than the good old days of Tomb Raider 3, but a whole lot more bad-ass, miss Croft battles her way through another against-the-odds story line.
The game was released in the country this week, and if the trailer is anything to go by it should be a goodie. But don”t take our word for it. Watch it, play in store if you can, and decide if you can handle another round with the British adventurer.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD
10 years later and Final Fantasy X and X-2 are back, this time in HD.
The high definition remake of the two-part, tenth instalment in the Final Fantasy series, available on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, features remodelled characters and an updated sound track in the upscaled version of the Sqaure Enix classic.
Also included in the game is never before seen – outside of Japan – cinematic content bridging the information gap between the two games. Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD will be available in March.
Earth Defense Force 2025
The giant insects have returned.
“EDF never surrenders”, or so they say. The “world’s last hope” are back to fight long-legged and pincer-packing beasts in the follow up to EDF 2017. If massive explosions, even bigger weapons, and generic motivational one-liners float your boat, give this week’s trailer a watch.
