Dark Souls 2 – glitch your way to victory in 20 minutes

Dark Souls 2 is not known for being the easiest of games. In fact, players take pride in documenting how many times they die and how many enemies they have killed just to show they are making progress.

However, Distortion2’s speedrun of the Dark Souls 2 has made it all seem rather easy – taking care of business in 20 minutes and 14 seconds.

The record time was made possible by the player taking advantage of glitches, bypassing the Shrine of Winter, running above and below the environment, and using a first person view which then gives a burst of speed.

    These speedruns never impress me. I’m more interested in knowing the total time invested in learning all of the tricks, and every single attempt including the record speedrun combined. Seeing that stat in relation to the each person’s best speedrtun time is more telling.
