EA has announced<\/a> its official dedicated PC server list for Crysis 2, which is being released locally on 25 March.<\/p>\n

“We know that we have a lot of enthusiastic PC fans out there and we think it’s awesome! A great community is something that every gaming company strives for. We also know how much our PC gamers love dedicated servers, and we’re pleased to announce that Crysis 2 will support them!”<\/p>\n

Included on the list for global server hosts are iGame\/iBurst, Telkom SA, and HypeGamez. These are the three currently confirmed local server hosts.<\/p>\n

iGame has announced<\/a> that they will be hosting a launch tournament for the game with prizes sponsored by Razer. More details will be announced soon.<\/p>\n

Crysis 2 will feature 12 multiplayer maps all set in New York City, and the maps will be designed to take advantage of different Nanosuit powers. There will be 6 gameplay modes, as well as weapon and Nanosuit upgrades and an experience system.<\/p>\n

20 weapons, 4 classes (plus five custom classes), 50 multiplayer ranks, 20+ Nanosuit Modules, 200+ dog tags and 200 skill assessments have also be confirmed.<\/p>\n

The original Crysis never took off as a core multiplayer game, thanks to its clunky (albeit gorgeous) engine. Crysis 2 has been developed for PC as well as consoles and uses an updated engine, which means that framerates should not be a problem this time around.<\/p>\n

• CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better<\/p>\n

• DVD ROM: 8x<\/p>\n

• GPU: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB Ram or better<\/p>\n

• Audio DirectX 9.0c compatible<\/p>\n
