We could see AMD’s new VEGA graphics cards\u00a0as early as October this year, according to a report by Guru 3D<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This follows a Facebook post by AMD’s senior Director of Global Marketing and Public Relations showing off a photo of the VEGA launch event.<\/p>\n

“If this isn’t a complete pun (and I do not expect it to be) then AMD is preparing a launch event for VEGA. Let’s say you start planning such an even two months up-front, then indeed you can expect launch time to be October…”<\/p>\n

AMD were reportedly only expected to release the new VEGA cards in January 2017, but we could see its entire GPU roadmap move up if the cards release early.<\/p>\n

To add fuel to the fire, Guru 3D aren’t the only site to report on an earlier release date, with VidoeCardz.com<\/a><\/strong> also\u00a0reporting on the possibility of an October launch earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The Radeon RX 490 Series will be based on the Vega 10 chip.<\/p>\n
