{"id":101290,"date":"2016-08-16T07:47:13","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T05:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=101290"},"modified":"2016-08-16T07:48:19","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T05:48:19","slug":"nvidias-new-geforce-gtx-10-lineup-finally-brings-genuine-desktop-graphics-to-your-laptop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/101290-nvidias-new-geforce-gtx-10-lineup-finally-brings-genuine-desktop-graphics-to-your-laptop","title":{"rendered":"Nvidia&#8217;s new GeForce GTX 10 lineup finally brings genuine desktop graphics to your laptop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nvidia has officially unveiled its GeForce GTX 10 Series lineup of mobile graphics cards for notebooks.<\/p>\n<p>The cards are based on the GeForce GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 respectively, and promise to match their desktop counterparts in nearly every way, including full VR capability.<\/p>\n<p>This is thanks to huge energy-efficiency gains with the <strong>Pascal<\/strong> architecture and the new <strong>16nm FinFet<\/strong>\u00a0fabrication process, reports <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.techpowerup.com\/225033\/nvidia-announces-the-geforce-gtx-10-series-for-notebooks\" target=\"_blank\">TechPowerUp<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This round of NVIDIA&#8217;s mobile GPUs aren&#8217;t &#8220;gimped out&#8221; in comparison its desktop discrete GPU lineup, in that the SKUs don&#8217;t feature fewer CUDA cores than their corresponding desktop counterparts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The lineup begins with the <strong>GTX 1080 Mobile<\/strong>. Based on the GP104 silicon, this chip features all 2,560 CUDA cores, 160 TMUs, and 64 ROPs physically present on the chip.
