Discovery is responsible for selling 9 out of 10 of all Apple watches in South Africa, reports Bloomberg<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That accounts for over 30,000 watches sold, according to Discovery CEO Adrian Gore.<\/p>\n

This is largely down to the insurers Vitality Health program, which gives members a watch for free provided they are a Discovery credit card holder and can meet the required weekly targets.<\/p>\n

Those who miss the targets are then forced to pay a monthly fee.<\/p>\n

The program’s success in South Africa means that Discovery plans to roll it out in the US, Asia and the UK.<\/p>\n
