A giant Half-Life\u00a0 3 banner is currently adorning the entrance hall to the Koelnmesse as part of this week’s Gamescom conference in Cologne.<\/p>\n

Naturally, this prompted the internet to go wild. But before you get your hopes up, it appears the poster is either a very clever or very mean marketing ploy by two marketing companies, reports Eurogamer<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Reading the two sentences together reveals what the poster is actually advertising – \u201cHalf-Life: 3 editors who played it back then.\u201d<\/p>\n

It likely refers to some session being held at Gamescom this week, but the internet is\u00a0already viewing it as one of the biggest trolls of the year<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
