After recently stating<\/a><\/strong> that it would begin cracking down on Pokemon GO cheaters, Niantic has wasted no time implementing its new policy.<\/p>\n

Niantic has begun issuing permanent bans to players for a number of Terms of Service violations, including GPS spoofing and other software techniques aimed at manipulating the base game.<\/p>\n

A Reddit user\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>shared the following\u00a0email he received from Niantic after his account was banned from Pokemon GO:<\/p>\n

Niantic has been consistently shutting down third-party Pokemon GO apps and spoofing services, although its own tracking features\u00a0have not been flawless.<\/p>\n

These permanent bans are likely to target regular cheaters and third-party app users, but many users are worried that they will be caught in the crossfire for downloading third-party apps or using unofficial Pokemon GO services such as PokeAdvisor.<\/p>\n
