Images of Sony’s\u00a0upcoming PlayStation 4 Slim console have begun\u00a0surfacing online, The Verge<\/a><\/strong> reports.<\/p>\n

The seller posted a number of images of the console\u00a0in an online auction<\/strong><\/a>, which has since been removed.<\/p>\n

The PlayStation 4 Slim is noticeably smaller than the PlayStation 4, with rounded corners.<\/p>\n

The auction also included pictures of the device’s packaging, which stated that the console was a European model and included\u00a0a 500GB hard drive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sony is expected to announce its upcoming PlayStation Neo at a special event on 7 September<\/strong>, but the console pictured is most likely a slimmer edition\u00a0of the PlayStation 4 rather than the more powerful next-gen console.<\/p>\n

This follows the recent release\u00a0of the Xbox One S, a slimmer version of Microsoft’s Xbox One.<\/p>\n
