BioWare and EA have launched an initiative to encourage people to download and sign-in with their copy of the Dragon Age II demo across all three major platforms – PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Should one million people sign-in to their EA account with their Dragon Age II demo before 1 March 2011, BioWare will unlock two in-game items for use by the community at large. Progress will be tracked on the Dragon Age II demo download page<\/a>. The Dragon Age II demo will be available to download worldwdie tomorrow (22 February 2011).<\/p>\n

What are these items? The Unstoppable Axe-Bow of Retribution perhaps? The Armour of a Thousand Elf Tears maybe? Could it even be the fabled Hammer of Ser Ban… None of those – it’s a couple of books though.<\/p>\n

For those planning on purchasing the game, there’s further incentive to complete the demo<\/a>. Upon completion of the demo, players will unlock a special weapon, Hayder’s Razor, an ancient Dwarven blade which increases health, mana, and combat abilities, ready for use in the full release of Dragon Age II.<\/p>\n

Dragon Age II is scheduled for launch on the PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and PC on 11 March 2011 in South Africa and Europe.<\/p>\n
