{"id":102333,"date":"2016-08-29T07:38:37","date_gmt":"2016-08-29T05:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=102333"},"modified":"2016-08-29T07:39:18","modified_gmt":"2016-08-29T05:39:18","slug":"microsoft-cancels-halo-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/102333-microsoft-cancels-halo-online","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft cancels Halo Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft has officially cancelled Halo Online, a free-to-play variant of the popular Halo multiplayer releasing on PC, reports <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.techtimes.com\/articles\/175194\/20160827\/microsoft-cancels-halo-online-multiplayer-pc-game-after-a-single-year.htm\" target=\"_blank\">TechTimes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>No explanation for the cancellation was given by Microsoft, with the game&#8217;s developer left in the dark as to why the project won&#8217;t continue.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now we know only one thing \u2014 the current form of the game will not be released,&#8221; the developer said, based on a roughly-translated statement.<\/p>\n<p>This may actually turn out to be good news for fans of the Halo series, as Microsoft is continuing\u00a0to push into the PC market.<\/p>\n<p>As more and more Xbox-exclusive titles make their way to the Windows 10 store, it doesn&#8217;t seem too unlikely that Halo could make the jump too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Would you play Halo on PC if you had to buy it through the Windows 10 store?
