A Paradox Interactive representative has hinted to MyGaming that there will soon be a DLC ‘goodie’ delivered via Steam to pay homage to the fans of the game. Keep an eye out for the official announcement. Paradox would have revealed further information, but it would also have meant extermination by meteor shower (and we hate burnt sausages).<\/p>\n

\"Magicka<\/p>\n

Magicka burst on the digital download scene via Steam in January and has since garnered impressive sales and much critical praise, despite the numerous bugs encountered with the launch version. Check out MyGaming’s own take on the magickal action fest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The worst of the bugs have mostly been eradicated and coupled with the appealing low price of the game, Magicka has been a commercial success for developer Arrowhead Games – welcome news for the indie game development segment which often walks the knife-edge of success and failure.<\/p>\n

Currently the game is only available via digital distribution (Steam) but soon it will be arriving on retail store shelves around the world. Arrowhead has indicated that they are hoping to make Magicka happen for consoles, so PC gamer’s thumb-oriented brethren may not be left out for too long.<\/p>\n

MyGaming also recently had a word with a developer from Arrowhead Games<\/a> and found out about all sorts of interesting Magicka related stuff, as well as the developers stance on DRM.<\/p>\n
